
During the annual international tourism exhibition "Vacation and SPA Expo 2026", the Chairman of the Bulgarian Association of Travel Agencies (BATA) Mr. Odisey Spasov held an official meeting with representatives of leading Turkish tour operator companies. The talks focused on expanding bilateral cooperation and creating new opportunities for tourist exchange between Bulgaria and Turkey.
The meeting took place in a constructive and friendly atmosphere, and key topics related to the development of the tourist flow between the two countries were discussed. The Turkish partners showed strong interest in our winter resorts, SPA and balneological destinations, as well as in the opportunities for cultural and historical tourism in Bulgaria.
BATA presented current trends in the sector, new tourist products and initiatives aimed at promoting Bulgaria as a year-round destination. Mr. Spasov stressed the readiness of the association to assist in organizing info tours, business meetings and partnership projects that would facilitate the work between Bulgarian and Turkish tour operators.
The Turkish representatives expressed their desire to expand joint programs, including organizing charter flights, combined tourist packages and strengthening marketing campaigns of the Bulgarian tourist product on the Turkish market.
The meeting ended with an agreement on further working contacts and concrete steps to deepen the partnership. Both sides expressed confidence that the cooperation between Bulgaria and Turkey has the potential to lead to a significant increase in tourist exchange in the coming years.
