Dear colleagues, the Chairman of BATA, Odisey Spasov, was personally invited on 16.05.2025 by the Bureau of the European Parliament in Bulgaria to be a panelist for the event discussion "EU in action: better protection for passengers, clear rules for business" this is a great honor for BATA. The discussion was quite constructive and many long-standing problems in Tourism and more specifically for air and bus transport were explained. The panel also included: Andrey Novakov - MEP from the EPP, Bistra Markova - Bulgaria Air, Anelia Marinova - Civil Aviation Administration, Sonya Spasova - European Consumer Center. After the debate, the Chairman of BATA, Odisey Spasov, received a thank you for BATA's participation in the event.

First of all, I would like to thank you on behalf of all my colleagues in the Bureau of the European Parliament for your participation in Friday's discussion "EU in Action: Better Protection for Passengers, Clear Rules for Business". We are very pleased that despite the bad weather and the transport strike, representatives of many stakeholders came to the event and that a meaningful and useful conversation resulted. We hope that it helped those present in the hall and the online viewers to be better informed about the views of all those affected by the prepared changes, and for the rapporteur to take their positions into account when preparing the texts that will be voted on in the European Parliament.
